I

Listening

Opened with three vibes, three distinct tracks, ARTé grows to eight, in step with the album “27”. Two rooms, cool light and warm light: the sound surrounds the visitor and is always in motion.

II

Vision

Music heard with the ears and with the eyes. On the two screens, 2,202 presets chosen from the 50,000 curated over twenty years by the MilkDrop community: musical notes for the artist, visualisations of sound for those who created them.

III

Participation

A magnetic-field instrument invites visitors to play: the sound spreads through the speakers and onto the screens, as light.

MACO · 10TH ANNIVERSARY

A milestone for our first ten years and a threshold to the next

For MACO’s tenth anniversary and in memory of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, ARTé opens the museum’s Project Space to a site-specific installation by Namkhai Yeshi.

Over the past ten years MACO has welcomed more than 45,000 people to Arcidosso, enriching the cultural landscape of this small Tuscan village and introducing our visitors to the pristine beauty of Monte Amiata.
